On Thursday, October 7, Bill Barnett, Research Technologies Life Sciences, will give a presentation on the i2iconnect service to the Advancing Health and Life Science IT (ALHIT) mini-conference in Indianapolis. i2iconnect, a service developed by RT Life Sciences through the Indiana CTSI, has established a national service to match inventors and technology transfer professionals to industry licensing partners. At this meeting, Dr. Barnett will announce the addition of Healthcare IT categories to the i2iconnect services, and launch a partnership with ALHIT to develop i2iconnect as a national service for Healthcare IT licensing.
ALHIT is a partnership of 30 leading information technology, health care, and life sciences experts, in partnership with TechPoint and Ice Miller aimed at creating and growing more IT companies for Indiana's $69B health and life sciences sector. ALHIT will identify opportunities for increased use of information technology in the health and life sciences sector. The initiative will also identify research in academia and in the marketplace that can be commercialized or "spun out†with venture capital and other funding sources.
