With over 20 years of experience in IT administration, security operations, and cybersecurity R&D, she thrives in developing innovative solutions for cybersecurity challenges where conventional solutions fall short. Emily specializes in cybersecurity assessments of diverse environments, exploring challenges in critical infrastructure and cyber-physical ecosystems, and consulting on regulatory-driven solutions for academic research and industry projects.

Hauke Bahr is a Senior Project Manager at the Indiana University Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research. With over a decade of experience in managing and leading project teams, he is aiming to facilitate success on various internal and external initiatives at CACR.

Leslee Bohland is an Assistant Director at Indiana University’s Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) and OmniSOC. Leslee provides leadership, financial acumen and strategic insight to ensure the financial health, integrity and growth of the organization.

Diana Cimmer serves as a Project Manager at Indiana University’s Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR). She has worked for IU for over 26 years, 18 years in the IU UITS Finance office, before joining CACR in 2016.

Robert (Bob) Cowles is principal in BrightLite Information Security performing cybersecurity assessments and consulting in research and education about information security and identity management. His CACR contributions include cybersecurity assessments at major NSF facilities and a prime contributor to Trusted CI's Cybersecurity Framework. He has also participated in cybersecurity assessments of local government entities as part of the Cybertrack program in partnership with Purdue University.

Tim Daniel is a Senior Security Analyst at CACR. Previously, Tim worked for a contract research organization carrying out phase 1 and pre-phase 1 clinical trials for veterinary medicine. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology with a focus in chemistry, and an associate's degree in applied biotechnology. After high school, Tim worked for Stone Belt, a nonprofit that provides resources and supports for individuals with disabilities, where he learned patience and listening skills.

Will Drake is a Principal Security Analyst and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Indiana University Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR). Will has over a decade of IT and cybersecurity experience, holding various roles at Indiana University ranging from end-user IT support to ensuring the security of IU’s critical telecommunications infrastructure. In 2019, Will joined CACR and launched the highly successful SecureMyResearch service, which has gained national attention for its innovative approach to reducing cybersecurity and compliance burdens on researchers. He specializes in guiding research organizations through compliance challenges, helping them identify compliance strategies that are reasonable, effective, and mission-focused.

Cory serves as a project manager at Indiana University's Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research.

Craig Jackson is Deputy Director at the Indiana University Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (IU CACR), where his research and development interests include cybersecurity program development and governance, cybersecurity assessment design and conduct, legal and regulatory regimes' impact on information security and cyber resilience, evidence-based security, and innovative defenses. He has led collaborative work with critical infrastructure and national security stakeholders, as well as interdisciplinary assessment and guidance teams for Trusted CI, the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. He is the principal architect of the Trusted CI Framework, and played a central role in building the PACT and Cybertrack assessment methodologies.

Chief Security Analyst Mark Krenz is focused on cybersecurity operations, research, and education. He has more than two decades of experience in system, network administration, programming, and system security and has spent the last decade focused on cybersecurity. He also serves as the CISO of Trusted CI.

Nicholas J. Multari is the senior technical advisor for research in cybersecurity at the Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) in Richland, Washington. He establishes the direction and leads the execution of the various research projects resulting in a rigorous foundation upon which security concepts are matured and implemented. Prior to joining PNNL, he was the manager for trusted cyber technology at Boeing Research and Technology in Seattle, Washington.

Tori Richardson is a Senior Administrative Assistant.

Ranson is the Assistant Director and Principal Project Manager with the Indiana University Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR). Ranson has more than 30 years of experience leading project teams in the Department of Defense and industry. Ranson’s major projects include Trusted CI, the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, Framework Cohort engagements and Research Infrastructure Security Community initiatives, as well as Indiana’s Local Government Cybersecurity Assessment Program, Cybertrack.

Scott Russell is a Chief Security Analyst with the Indiana University Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) and the Deputy Director of Trusted CI, the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. A lawyer and researcher, Scott’s expertise ranges from privacy and cybersecurity to international law. He is the program lead for the Trusted CI Framework, a co-author of Security from First Principles: A Practical Guide to the Information Security Practice Principles, played a central role in building the PACT and Cybertrack assessment methodologies, and served as temporary faculty with Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane.

Professor Scott J. Shackelford is the Provost Professor of Business Law and Ethics at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He serves as the Executive Director of the Ostrom Workshop and the Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research. He is also an Affiliated Scholar at both the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Stanford’s Center for Internet and Society.

Kelli is a CACR's Chief Project Manager with over 20 years of experience leading project teams, including in the private sector. She joined CACR in 2019 as Senior Project Manager for Trusted CI, ResearchSOC, and our collaboration with the Indiana Secretary of State's office on election cybersecurity. In August 2020, she was appointed to the role of Executive Director for Trusted CI, the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. She also serves as an assessor for Cybertrack, our collaboration with Purdue University and the Indiana Office of Technology.

Dr. Robert (Rob) Templeman, Ph.D., is the Executive Director of Cybersecurity Innovation at IU and Chief Engineer at CACR. Rob lends engineering experience to CACR projects, spanning requirement specification, analyses of alternatives for design synthesis, validation of design implementations and root cause analysis. Much of Rob’s recent technical efforts focus on securing system/system interfaces and the intersection of security and AI/ML.
