Now retired, Mark served as Associate Vice President for Telecommunications and Chief IT Security and Policy Officer at OVPIT. In 2002, he was instrumental in establishing the IU-based Research and Educational Networking Information Sharing and Analysis Center (REN-ISAC) and served as its Executive Director. Mark has been involved in a variety of CACR initiatives since its creation.

Robert (Bob) Cowles is principal in BrightLite Information Security performing cybersecurity assessments and consulting in research and education about information security and identity management. His CACR contributions include cybersecurity assessments at major NSF facilities and a prime contributor to Trusted CI's Cybersecurity Framework. He has also participated in cybersecurity assessments of local government entities as part of the Cybertrack program in partnership with Purdue University.

Daniel Hickey is a professor and program coordinator with the Learning Science Program in the IU School of Education. He worked on the CACR Principles-Based Cybersecurity Toolkit (PACT) and the Securing Smart Cities course modules. He previously developed a cybersecurity course for K12 networking professionals and designed and studied interactive “playable case studies” for undergraduate cybersecurity students.

Professor Kapadia serves as both an Associate Dean for Graduate Studies at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, along with being the Chair of IU’s Cybersecurity Risk Management Program. He is an influential cybersecurity scholar and frequent contributor to CACR projects and events.

Nicholas J. Multari is the senior technical advisor for research in cybersecurity at the Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) in Richland, Washington. He establishes the direction and leads the execution of the various research projects resulting in a rigorous foundation upon which security concepts are matured and implemented. Prior to joining PNNL, he was the manager for trusted cyber technology at Boeing Research and Technology in Seattle, Washington.

Steve Myers served on the Luddy School faculty at IU before joining Apple as a Security Engineer and Core Cryptographer. He played a central role in crafting the IU Cybersecurity Risk Management Program, and worked with CACR on a variety of grants and events.

Scott Orr was a longtime CACR staff member currently serving its sister organization, OmniSOC. Scott contributed to IU’s cybersecurity landscape in a variety of ways, including leading its CAE certification efforts and through successful business development.

Dr. Sagar Samtani is an Associate Professor and Weimer Faculty Fellow at the Kelley School of Business where he directs Kelley’s Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab. He, and his lab, have been active with CACR initiatives such as through grants, student engagement, and helping with the CACR Speaker Series.

Joseph A. Tomain's contributions to CACR include examining the relationship, and often competing interests, between speech and privacy rights, as well as the cybersecurity implications that must be considered when assessing online privacy.

Von Welch served as CACR’s second Executive Director and IU's AVP for Information Security. As AVP, Von served ably for eleven years and successfully grew CACR substantially through new awards and initiatives, including Trusted CI and the creation of OmniSOC.
